The TurtleTub disposable bath liner is required when the TurtleTub is used on multiple patients. Why risk cross-contamination? The TurtleTub system has been validated for multi-patient-use per FDA reprocessing guideline for health care settings using an independent microbiology laboratory (Microchem Laboratory). Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) packs are designed for units that typically do one bath prior to discharge. All items are disposable.
NICU/SCN packs are designed for smaller, more vulnerable babies who will likely have more than one bath prior to discharge. NICU/SCN packs do not have blankets included since the ideal blanket for this population is the reusable, fleece swaddle bathing blanket, which is sold separately. All items in these packs are disposable.
*The recommended swaddle bathing blanket for the NICU/SCN population is the reusable fleece blanket, which is sold separately.
